Poesia di carne scritta sulla pelle. Il testo poetico si appiattisce sull’immagine con lo scopo di trovare una sintesi tra parola detta e vista, tra esperienza sentita e percepita a livello tattile. La scelta di non far capire il testo nasce dalla difficoltà di comprendere l’io poetico e in genere l’individuo.
Questi sono i versi:
“Se questa specie di pelle che mi divide dal mondo non fosse così sottile potrei anche sopportare il peso della tua vicinanza, il freddo dell’inverno e il mio muto destino di poeta”.

L’uomo è analizzabile attraverso singoli stati dell’essere? Questo video parte dall’assunto che attraverso l’induzione, il particolare e l’elemento assolutizzato si può giungere ad una analisi completa dell’ io, fratto ma ugualmente compiuto in ogni microscopica sensazione.
I tre video fanno parte di un progetto più vasto che abbraccia tutte le emozioni di cui è portatore l’individuo.

Can the man be analyzable through single states of the being? this video starts from the idea that through the induction, the particular and the eternal element we can reach a complete analysis of the self, fragmented but equally finished in every microscopic sensation.
The three videos belong to a vaster project that embraces all the emotions of which the individual is carrier.

Danae

É un’interpretazione del mito greco di Danae. Suo padre, il re, la teneva isolata, reclusa in un’alta torre, per impedirle di procreare quei discendenti che, secondo una profezia, lo avrebbero spodestato. Ma l’uomo non può sfuggire al suo destino e al volere degli dei e così Danae viene fecondata da Zeus attraverso una pioggia dorata che penetra la scura solitudine della sua prigione.

It is an interpretation of the Greek Myth of Danae. Her father, the king, held her isolated, closed in a high tower to prevent her from bearing discendants who, according to a prophecy, would have defeated him. But man cannot escape his destiny and the Gods’ will, so Danae is fecundated by Zeus through a golden rain that permeates the dark solitude of her prison.

La figura femminile che guarda incessantemente dalla finestra, in attesa del ritorno del suo uomo, è l’antico archetipo di Penelope, che si strugge senza sosta per veder apparire, all’orizzonte, la barca di Ulisse, pronta a perdonargli ogni incontro e avventura che lui possa aver avuto. La donna moderna di questo video, tuttavia, rimprovera al suo Ulisse l’abbandono al quale è stata sottomessa e avanza dubbi rispetto ad una equivalente pazienza che avrebbe saputo dimostrare lui a ruoli invertiti, dovendola aspettare per anni. Penelope gioca con la sua barca-giocattolo come Ulisse che, distante, gioca col suo vascello percorrendo fantastici scenari.
Il tema del mito nell’ottica di una sua attualizzazione è il filo conduttore di una parte della produzione video di Christian Panebianco e Silvia Favaretto che viene condensata nel libro di poesie  La tetra santità e il variopinto orrore, di cui fa parte la poesia omonima utilizzata in questo video.

The feminine figure who looks restlessly through a window, waiting for the coming back of her man, is the ancient archetypal of Penelope, constantly aiming to the appeareance of Ulysses’ boat in the horizon, ready to forgive him every encounter and adventure he might have had. The modern woman of this video, on the other hand, reproches her Ulysses the abandonment to which ha has submitted her and questions him wether he would have had the same patience and submission to wait so many years for her. Penelope plays with her toy-boat just as the distant Ulysses plays with his vassell through fantastic scenaries.
The intention to bring to the present the ancient myth is the leading thread of a part of the video production of Christian Panebianco and Silvia Favaretto and it is condensed in the book of poetry, from where this poem has been extracted, La tetra santità e il variopinto orrore (Turin 2004).

A woman wanders in the stone beach of an azure lagoon. A crystal clear Venice is the background of this story that is a picture of the conciussness of the usefullness of waiting a destiny that will never come. The water of the lagoon keeps the secret of the abnegation of love.
